wow! i've finally done it. i've created my own blog... how current and up to date is that?
Living in Black Fly Country is where i'm headed in the near future. my husband and i are moving out of the GTA and heading to a new home about 20 minutes north of Bancroft, ON... home of Ontario's Provincial Bird..... you guessed it.... the Black Fly...
we've actually owned our retirement home for well over a year now and have experienced one Black Fly season and really, it wasn't too, too, bad. you did have to spend a wee bit more time indoors, or get used to wearing mosquito/bug clothing and hats but may/june have never been my most favourite time of the year anyway.... september/october is more like it. for the past 21 years i've lived with the Black Fly here in my little corner of the world, just an hour or so east of Toronto, on the north shore of Lake Ontario. most people have not believed me over the years, that Black Flies are so far south, but they are, so i'll feel right at home when we move up there permanently.
Welcome to the blog world!
ReplyDeleteI hope you reconsider selling your house by Lake Ontario or you could just give it to your youngest daughter, I hear she is amazing!
Congratulations! And I'm curious what you mean by "it wasn't, too, too bad". I recall being eaten alive to the point that my sweater had blood all over it. That seems very bad to me.
ReplyDeletei can't help it if you're bug bait and besides, maybe you being there made all the difference to me thinking that it wasn't so bad after all :)
